    Modern: Emerging from classical dance technique, modern dance explores a range of styles and qualities of movement including contraction/release of the torso, articulation of the spine, use of gravity and weightedness in the body, musicality, athleticism, and personal expression.
    Dress: Leotard, drawstring or elastic waist dance pants.

    Ballet: Since ballet is the foundation of modern and jazz, it will be advantageous for any student to take. Open Door offers all levels of ballet in a non-intimidating atmosphere and seeks to encourage and challenge dancers at any stage of their training.
    Dress: Leotard and ballet shoes.

    Belly Dance I: Basic fundamental movements and choreographed routines with an introduction to zill patterns.
    Belly Dance II: Intro to veil work and more concentration on zills with intermediate movements and five choreographed routines.
    Dress: All Students need soft or dance shoes (not running shoes or shoes with grip, bare feet are okay), comfortable clothes or dance wear, and zills (finger cymbals), which may be purchased at class.
    Level 2 and higher students are required to have a veil (ask teacher for proper fabric and size).

    Jazz: This jazz class offers a great technique foundation while exploring several different styles such as Classical jazz seen in musical theatre, LA or MTV style jazz, and expressive Lyrical Jazz. Come ready to have a blast and get a great workout.
    Dress: Jazz shoes and comfortable clothes

    Hip-Hop: Students will be introduced to hip hop culture and history through dance.  Class will focus on syncopated rhythms, body isolations and choreography.  While it is important to grasp the choreography and technique, emphasis is placed on style and personality.  Students will begin with a short warm-up combination, followed by  isolations, stretching, across the floor and finish with choreography center floor.  Students should wear comfortable clothing and sneakers - no jeans or skirts please. Adults and Older Teens.

    :Zumba: Zumba is a fusion of Latin, Hip-Hop and International music and dance themes that creates a dynamic, exciting and effective cardio/dance workout. It is one of the newest exercise crazes! Zumba combines unique moves and combinations that allow participants to dance away their worries. It is a fun and easy "feel happy" way to burn calories and tone the body.
    Dress : Comfortable clothing and jazz or aerobic sneakers.

    JAZZ & HIP-HOP Learn Jazz and hip hop dance styles in a class designed for fun.  Floor stretches and body isolations will be applied. Class will learn choreography to implement the dance styles of today with basic teaching. 
    Dress: Jazz shoes or other dance sneakers apply.

      Yoga: A Power Vinyasa Yoga class for all levels! Whether you are a beginner
    or seasoned yogi, this class will be catered to suit your
    capabilities, while challenging your edge. Beneficial for dancers and non-dancers alike, anyone who is looking to find some peace and get a great workout at the same time is welcome. Bring a yoga mat, possibly
    a towel, block, and/or strap, and definitely an open mind!

    Dress: comfortable clothing
